An application to the Environment Agency is mandatory for all discharges to a watercourse. The Environment Agency is there to help and should be consulted in every case whether Consent is necessary or not. All work associated with the disposal of effluent are subject to Building Regulations and the relevant local authority should be advised – this will incur a charge.
