Main sewer
This is the preferred choice, if available, in all but a few cases. Wherever possible the
mains sewer system should be considered, provided it is within economic and logistical reach.
The mains may be quite close but land ownership or capacity to receive may be a problem.
In all cases the local utility should be consulted. Even if the traditional gravity feed
is not possible, a pump chamber to lift the effluent can be installed and the macerated fluid
fed direct to the receiving main.
Building Regulations cover the criteria of capacities, flow etc., and advice should be sought
for each and every installation and/or alteration to sewerage. S&B Services offers
